I saw a photo of a 4 poster bed on Facebook the other day with this gorgeous rose gold finish, and I knew instantly I had to make that happen.

I just happened to have this lovely little vanity sitting in my stash, and I thought it was just the perfect piece for this fun, glamorous finish! Here's the "before" of the vanity.
I did a few Facebook LIVE videos as I was working on this piece - sometimes it's fun to watch people paint, and see a little behind the scenes, so if you like that, here you go!
I know you are going to ask what mix of paint I used to get this color, and it was a little of this and a little of that. It was a mix of Antique White, Millstone, Tuscan Red, and a touch of a raspberry color I had - I can't tell you a formula, I just started mixing until I got the color I was looking for. It's a blush pink, and I like it so much because it's not tooo pink. It could be just as gorgeous for a little girl's room as for a teen or adult!
This color covered nicely, so after two coats it was ready for the fun part.
When I use Champagne Pearl Effects for an all over metallic finish, I like to mix it with a little High Performance Top Coat. It seems to be less "streaky" that way, and goes on with a little better coverage.
Once that's dry, if you are happy with the result, the final coat is just the High Performance Top Coat to seal it all up and it's finished!
The resulting color and shimmer is stunning - it literally glows.
The knobs I had for this complete the look, adding even more bling! These are from Amazon, and are very affordable, especially as they are diamond cut glass knobs so they are just so sparkly.
I can't wait to see where this piece goes to live - it's sure to add a bit of sparkle to someone's life! It's currently available in the shop here.
Until next time!!
