I have a fun before and after for you here on the blog today. This was a beautiful table before I got my hands on it, but now it’s a fun POP of color that will make the whole room a little more fun.
This table has a distressed finish complete with worm holes and all.
I prepped the table like I always do, and made a fun video of the color mixing, furniture prep and painting process. This table was part of my #30DAYPAINTCHALLENGE happening over on Facebook. I mixed Persimmon Milk Paint with a little Antique White to get this bright color.
After the paint was dry (it took 3 coats to achieve this color). It was time to apply a topcoat. Topcoats aren’t always necessary over Milk Paint, but my client wanted an extra layer of protection and a little more shine. The topcoat I used was General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in flat finish.
And just like that, this table is finished! See, I told you it was a bright POP of a fun color.
You can see here the top coat gives it a little bit of shine. It’s so pretty.
This table was delivered today back to its dining room where it lives. So happy to add a bit of life with this happy piece!
Until next time,
Jenni
Perfect. That is one of my very favorite colors and the table looks great.
Thank you!! This color is so fun!!
What kind of sprayer do you use? Like the color!
I didn’t use a sprayer on this one. I usually just paint by hand and a good brush like a Purdy. If I spray, I use the Home Right Finish Max. Here’s my affiliate link: http://amzn.to/2yB9F67
