I thought it'd be fun to do a series of gift guides since the holidays are just around the corner and I have lots of shopping to do. I really thought if I took the time to get this all together I could just shop at the same time and be DONE by mid December (only one more week after this!). We'll see how that goes :) All of the following gifts are found on Amazon, because you can find just about anything on Amazon and if you have Prime shipping it's so quick. Also because if you are like me, there is usually some last minute shopping happening and so Prime shipping can be your saving grace.
This guide is for kids! I actually have a hard time shopping for my kids - am I the only one?? It's hard to know what they really want, and what is going to be a long lasting, well loved toy. I tried to pull together what looked like the very best! My kids are ages 3-7, so most of these will be geared to that age group.
All of the following links are affiliate links for your shopping ease.
Ticket to Ride Board Game - We got this game last year, and it's super fun. My 7 year old and I like to play and it's challenging for both of us. I think the more people that play (up to 5 players) the harder it gets. There are different versions too so you can pick where you want to "travel".
Princess Pack - These princesses are super cute, my girls played with them at a friend's house and found them super fun. The outfits just slide on and off and are easy for kids to put on or switch between princesses.
Magic Tree House Books - My oldest loves these books - there are about 50 in the series so it should keep a book lover happy for a long time. They are all based on an adventure that a brother and sister go on from their tree house, and they explore different places and times. I read one and enjoyed it too!
Yeti In My Spaghetti Game - This looks like a super fun game! Can you tell I'm all about games? Our family loves to play games and it's a fun way to interact and keep everyone occupied. I bet this would be fun for all ages!
Lip Balm Kit - For girls who like to craft and make their own accessories, this would be a fun kit! What little girl doesn't love a bit of lip gloss to make her feel special!
Pie Face Game - This looks fun, but a little intimidating at the same time, anyone want to volunteer for whip cream in their face? This might be a fun party game, and what kid wouldn't love to see their parent get a pie in the face :)
Colorful Finger Gloves - Maybe if more kids had these they would like to wear gloves! How fun, with a push of a button they light up in all different colors. This would be great fun on a cold night.
LEGO Nexo Knights - Who doesn't love LEGOs? I'm a big fan, and so is my oldest, I think he's gotten a LEGO set every holiday for the past few years, and he loves them all. Nexo Knights are some of the latest sets he's enjoyed.
WowWee MiP Robot - We also ordered this for my son. He likes robots and computers so it's a fun way to put his brain to work. This one has great review and looks fun for the whole family, I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do!
Boom Box - Last year, we got our 3 year old a boom box because she loves to sing. She keeps it in her room and plays music at quiet time or cleaning time, and she loves it! It's nice for her to have her own, because I'm not worried about a nice one breaking, it's all for the kids.
Crayola Art & Craft Kit - Another gift idea we give the grandparents every year is art supplies! You can never have too many, and after a year with a puppy and the usual kid casualties, there aren't many markers or paints left. This kind of thing is also easy entertainment for the kids to keep occupied.
Well, there you have it. A round up of some of my favorite gifts for kids! Hopefully that sparked an idea or two for a kid in your life. Kids are so much fun to shop for.
