“Using the right tool for the job makes all the difference”.  But what if you don’t know which tool to use or how to use it??

For quite a while, I’ve been wanting to do a series on power tools.  I think power tools are the best.  I’m the gal that usually asks for one for Christmas, and I always have a wish list of tools that I want to add to my collection.  So, here we go, I’m bringing you my love of tools in a video series.  These are short videos to help you understand how to use a tool, and for what jobs.

This post contains affiliate links to help you find the products I’m describing.  It costs you nothing extra to use the links, they are there for your convenience.  To see my full disclosure policy, click here.

The first tool we are starting with is one I think everyone should have – homeowner or not!  It’s useful for jobs like hanging pictures to building furniture and everything in between.  The drill!

Here’s the number one thing I’d love for you to take away from this series – DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE TOOL!  There are safety precautions needed for any and all power tools, however they are not as scary as you may think.  Eye protection, ear protection and gloves are always a good idea when working with tools.  Be very aware of where your hands are and were the tool is headed.  Get in person instruction if you are not comfortable with the tool yet.

Drills come in a wide price range.  Some come in packs with other tools.  Check your local hardware stores for sales, or I found a few on Amazon that have great reviews.  I also recommend a set of drill bits.

Without further ado, here it is – the basics of the cordless drill!

I’d love your feedback on this series!! What else would you like to know about tools? Which ones do you wish you could use?

Until next time,
Jenni
