We have a big announcement today, a new business adventure. We bought a flip house!
My husband and I joined forces with friends and business partners to purchase the house that we will flip and sell. I'm excited because we've been doing house projects for-ever, but now it's all one giant project.
Today's post is full of all the before pictures of the house. These were taken the day we close so you can see what we are dealing with in it's unfinished state. More posts will be coming later with design plan and ideas!
I'm calling this house the Cora Project - we think of her like a grand old lady (like Cora on Downton Abbey!).
It's a solid brick home with a one car garage.
The house has a generous front porch, and a fabulous front door!
The porch has the old bead board ceiling.
When you walk in the front door, this is the nice big foyer. Look at that amazing staircase. It's one of my favorite parts of the house!
To the left on the main floor are two living spaces, the front room is yellow (and super dirty!).
The middle room is the same shade of mint as the foyer, it has this lovely green fireplace.
The floors through-out are the original hardwood, they need refinishing - but they have fantastic potential!
Through the green room is the dining room which is also green. There's a great big deep closet in the dining room which adds great storage.
Between the dining room and the kitchen is a little powder room.
Which brings us into the kitchen. The kitchen is probably the most "updated" space in the house.
In the kitchen there is also a little dinette space.
Back through the kitchen brings us to the staircase. Ready to head upstairs?
There is a lot of charming wall paper upstairs. At the top of the stairs there is a closet. There are 5 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom upstairs.
The first bedroom has lovely yellow carpet.
Next to this bedroom is the full bathroom.
Complete with a purple toilet and bathtub!
The next room is another bedroom right behind the bathroom. It has a closet and two nice size windows.
The hallway is a great space with lots of gorgeous old doors. Down the hallway are the other 3 bedrooms.
The first room to the left has this lovely old wallpaper.
The front bedroom has the biggest window and the smallest closet.
The last bedroom along the side of the house with the bump out and the 3 windows. It's the biggest room and would make a fantastic master bedroom.
It has a closet and a cross in the dust on the wall there.
Up the steps to the 3rd floor...
There are two rooms in the attic. They both have closets, and still have the original wood doors and molding.
This room is my favorite with lots of window nooks. The attic has amazing potential, not only is it great storage but it could be a whole other level of living space.
Well that brought us to the end of the tour. Do you see the potential like we do?
In case you didn't see enough and want to watch a walk through tour, check out the Facebook video I did the other day. Be sure to follow my page because I'll be updating often there!
Thanks for joining me on the tour, I'll talk to you soon!
