Hello there!

Remember the shiplap headboard I showed you how to build?  Well, today I’m going to show you the furniture that completes the bedroom.  My client had these beautiful pieces already, they just needed a little makeover to make them more her style.  It’s amazing what a little paint will do to brighten, and completely change the look of the piece.

The tops were in such great shape, they just got a polish, and the bases took 3 coats of General Finishes Antique White.  We did a heavy distressing with 120 grit sandpaper to give it the more coastal look.

These nautical knobs came from Hobby Lobby and they are the perfect compliment to these pieces.  They could also easily be changed in the future too if she decided to change the theme of her room.

There was also a chest of drawers that needed a makeover.  I forgot to take a “before” photo, but it was also a gorgeous piece already.  We opted to keep the top and the little mid-lip the stained wood so I covered that with painters tape and started painting.

Wah-lah!  Isn’t that gorgeous??  I love these classic, curvy pieces.  This was also General Finishes Antique White, and distressing was a little lighter on this piece.
