I recently bought some old windows from a friend. They were white, chippy, old, and soooo good. I was trying to figure out what to do with them - when I thought they would make the perfect framed chalkboard sign! These are my very favorite signs I've ever made, they are big, unique and one of a kind! Here's how I made them!Read More
I found the nightstand on the left at one of the very first auctions I ever went to. It's lived with our family for a while now and moved from PA to AR back to PA. It's been a few different colors while we've had it too. When we moved into our house in October, we no longer had a place for it. So it sat in the garage, waiting its 3rd makeover.
A couple months ago while at a local antique store I found the nightstand on the right. I knew it would be a close enough match to the other one (with a little work) - and pairs of nightstands tend to sell better than alone. So it came home with me, and they both got a whole new look!Read More
Last summer, a friend found these old steamer trunks by the side of the road. They had clearly seen better days. I knew the beauty that lay under all those years of dirt and dust, so I bought them from him. The taller one had it's makeover a few months ago, and this shorter one I knew was destined to be a trunk coffee table! It was the perfect size to put a few legs on the bottom and make it into a piece to be loved for years to come! Wanna see how I did it??Read More

We've all seen the photos on Pinterest, of a gorgeous church pew in the entry way, right? It's a great piece of farmhouse style decor - except for one thing.
They are so stinking BIG!!
Who has a spot in their entryway for an 8' bench?? So when I spotted this mini church pew at a local consignment store, you better believe I was all over it!
This one is just over 4 feet long so not only a lot more manageable for me to move and haul and refinish, but also a more perfect size for home use. This size I could see this as a bench on one side of a farmhouse table, or as an entryway or porch bench.Read More
I'm working on several small DIY projects for the upcoming show I'll be at. Small projects are a fun change of pace from time to time. This is a quick project that would make the perfect gift, a small project to sell in a booth or just a fun DIY project for your home.Read More
I have a quick before and after for you today, hang on to your chairs, this is a good makeover.
I found this old vanity at a local antique shop already in pieces. It had a big giant mirror that sat across the back, and these two drawer cases were already apart - taken apart or broken I'm not too sure. The set had certainly seen better days. They were missing some wheels, the tops were lifting off, and the finish was a wreck. That's what 30 years of nail polish and hair spray will do to a vanity.Read More
